Jan 1 Happy New Year!! Mojo is tucked away for the winter but she will be ready come April for spring kings in Wilson. Hope 2011 finds you all well and I hope you are all dreaming about Mojo fishing like me!!

Feb15  The ice is finally melting and visions of big King Salmon are dancing in my head,hope yours too!.I will be at the sportsman show in hamburg march10th through 13th. Hope to see you there. Its a good way to break up the spring thay monotony and see a lot of interesting outdoor displays., Capt Dana
April  Spring at last!!! Although winter seems to not want to release its grip on us warm weather is inevitable.Mojo and I  are getting ready for battle with those big Ontario Kings. Hope you come and join us in Wilson .

April 30  Well she's in and fishing. Cold water temps are still here but we managed to have a very good trip on sat.  Wayne clemins and his crew boated 15 nice brown trout and a couple coho's .all in all I think we did very well. I am sure now that the ice is all out of lake Erie the water will warn up and King salmon will move in! heading back tue will update next week.

  It has been a slow start but things are looking up. The mighty Niagara river muddied up our water last week but shes clearing up now . water temps are warming to ideal salmon temps and we are getting better numbers of coho and king salmon also an occasional  atlantic . the slam fest should be on!!! last weekend was killer.

May16 A strong NE wind brought the cold water in last friday and slowed us down again but since then the is shaping back up. We still managed to catch some nice numbers of kings and cohos but it was not as good as I had expected.the water is still warming though in spite of the miserable weather we are experiencing.My hopes are that the weather turns around for the better and the fishing will be as it should be. Ill keep You posted.

 May23 We had real good fishing this week!! The Rainstorms made our inshore waters off color and shut the fish off so we went searching for the offshore temp break and hit the jackpot! This produced good numbers of Kings Coho's and steelhead.hope the slamfest keeps up!

May31 Thing have shaped up nicely as of late. Mojo has come in with some nice limits of salmon. Had to change tactics  this spring with all the rain and bad weather but I think we have it figured out.I am sorry its almost time to leave Wilson and go back to Lake Erie but the walleyes await. Team MOJO will be in the niagra orleans pro am this weekend. wish us luck!! 2nd last year looking to upgrade!! thanks to all my salmon fisherman I had a great time.

June20 Walleye fishing in lake Erie has been OK but the weather has hindered us a little bit out there.We have ,however managed some nice catches. Water temps have been very unstable so locations of the fish vary. We have been able to stay with them though. Looking for a little more summer temps and I am sure it will only get better!

July19 Sorry i havent updated the blog latleybut I have been very busy ouy on the lake.Walley fishing has been very good.we have had many very productive trips. there has been good walleye action mixed in with lake and brown trout! Lake Erie has warmed up considerably and I expect we will have to move out to deeper water soon. I'll try to keep you better informed.

July25 Summer heat has the lake warmed up to reacord temps for this time of the year and the fishing has been just as hot!!! Great catches of Walleye ,lake trout,browns and steelhead. August looks as though it will prove to be more of the same . You better get out here if you want to get in on this hot action!!

August19 This month has been one of the most windy Augusts I have ever remembered. We still have gotten out there a few times but it has been bumpy. There is a good school of walleyes right in front of Dunkirk and when the lake allows we have gone out and had some decent catches.Hoping the second half of the month brings calmer seas cause seasons getting shorter and I would like to work on that school of fish some more before its over.

August29 Finally the wind let up a little and the lake has been managable . The walleyes are still here. We had a couple of memerable trips last week with decent catches . I suspect fishing will be good as long as the seasonable conditions last but our days are numbered. Give me a call soon if you want in on this end of season action. March28 Shes coming out of the barn today! Going down to get MOJO out of her winter home . Got a little work to do ,give her a bath and a few other renovations. Then its off to Lake Ontario!!!! HELLO Wilson!!!  Come on up you dont want to miss the line Smokin Chinooks its awesome.

APRIL15  MOJO  is in the water !!!! We made it up to wilson splashed down and made a shake down cruse. Everything seems to be ship shape . The water is 45 to 46 degrees (salmon temp) and I think its time . Weather is supposed to be bad this weekend but we will be trolling as soon as it permits . Ill keep you posted  
April26 Got out a few times last week and the fish are biting!! Caught nice creels of mixed bags Kings , cohos, Atlantic salmon and Lake trout.It can only get better from here. Dont sleep though ,if you want to do battle with the "big guys" call me right away .Summer time is coming fast. 
MAY03 We have had  A few more trips out all have been productive. new year. Deer season is over and we are starting to do a little ice fishing.I am looking forward to a great year of fishing aboard the MOJO and cant wait for spring kings in Wilson. Ill post some ice pics as thay come .Until then stay warm ! Springtime is just around the corner

FEB26 We are now into Febuary and I dont know about you but Im getting itchy to get out on the boat. Been out on the ice catching eyes but I miss the MOJO. If the weather breaks a little Im going to hall her out and start getting her ready for Wilson. The Kings will be running soon!!
   Ill be at the Erie county sport and travel show in Hamburg,NY. March11 through 14 stop by and visit. Till then stay warm and dry. Ill post a few ice fishing pics.

The Salmon this year are BIGGER STRONGER FASTER!! Due to a very healthy  supply of baitfish . We even had a couple tackle busters . Dont worry I beefed up the leaders and went to a larger swivel . The LOC derby leader is 28+ lbs the largest spring King ever recorded in derby history! WE are ready . Give me a call its fast and furious.

MAY10 Very non productive week. Bad weather prevented fishing most of the week .We did get out on friday and did well.Then the stuff hit the fan! worst wind I have ever seen in Wilson in the spring.Looks like its calming Im going back out there .Ill keep you posted.

MAY17 Way better weather made it a very productive week! we had a number of good catches and a lot of Big fish. Tuesday the boys from Craig rodolders were on board and did very well.Thanks guys .there are good numbers of salmon at wilson right now. If you want um ,nows the time . May28 Well ,we are winding down the spring King season in Wilson and I must say its been pretty good. last week we had some very productive trips .Im going to miss it but the water is warming and the Walleyes are waiting in Lake Erie! One more week to go up in Ontario then MOJO is going to Dunkirk.

June 1 MOJO will be entered in the pro am tournament on the upcoming weekend ! Wish us luck.Then its off to Lake Erie for walleye fishing.  We have had a lot of fun ,.Cant wait for next year. Also congratulations to Tyler Slack for boating a 14  1/2 lb atlantic salmon sunday ,the biggest ever aboard MOJO!!!!

June7 We did it! Team MOJO took 2nd place in the 2010 pro am pro division!  We only fished one day of the 2 day tournament due to bad weather I am very confident we could have pulled ahead on day 2.
 That being said, MOJO is now back in Dunkirk and ready for the Walleye season! Looking forward to seeing all of our friends and doing battle with those elusive toothy critters.

June16  The Walleyes are here.We have been out fishing the Southtowns Walleye Derby and I have to say this is one of the best springtime bites I have ever seen. Its Insane!!!! Give me a call if you want sone tasty Walleyes For dinner !                               Gotta git Back out there ,Capt Dana

June24 The Eyes are still plentiful. After last year I was worried that It would not last but we are still doing well.As long as the waters temp holds we should see more and more numbers of Walleye coming to our neck of the lake!!! Double digit catches seem to be the trend. Hope it holds. Come give it a try.You wont be sorry.

JULY6  Walleye fishing is just getting better and better. The extremely  warm temps we have been experiencing are bringing more fish to our neck of the lake. It could be a banner year.Dont miss it ! Summer is flying by us .

July21 Fishing is still very good and we had some more great catches this week!! Met some very nice people and caught some very nice creels. August should continue to bring more of the same. Get it wile its hot!

Aug9 Now we are in august!Sorry I haven't blogged lately but we've been very busy .The fishing is still fantastic!limits of Eyes are very common and we are seeing more steelhead and Browns lately. Get down here as the summer is not getting any younger.I would hate to see you miss this banner year!!

Sept1 Fishing has slowed considerably here in Dunkirk and i think we are winding down. september whether is in the air and we have not been able to get out all week.   Almost time to go hunting!! 

Sept11 Looks like it has finally calmed down . I'm heading down to the lake to see if fishing conditions are favorable .I'll post what I find .    

Oct Well the 2010 season is over , and a very good one it was!!   It was great to see all of my old fishin buds again and also all of my new ones .Hope you all had a great time ,I know I did. Thanks to all. Hope to see you all again in 2011. Salmon season in wilson starts in may. Call me any time .

lAPRIL20 2009 Shes back in the water Finally!!!! we put her in on wed for the 2009 maiden voyage. All is well .Fished on Fri and Sat. NO kings yet ,the water temp was still only 38 degrees but is warming fast with no more ice on Lake Erie .We will be going back out on wed the 22 and I am very optimistic that we will be seeing some BIG GUYS by the end of the week . We did, however boat several nice lake trout and it was a blast. Ill post a few pics. I will also let you know how things are shaping up at the big O this week. April 27 Water is warming fast! shallow water fishing is almost athing of the past. The water temp was 42 deg. in front of wilson and while fishing on Sunday I saw a king surface on bait !!! Ill be back on the water Tue. and I expect we will hook some Chinooks.Cant wait!!!Friday was captains day out and all the captains fished the MOJO.I'm posting a pic Capt Buddy Marsh(Alibi),!st mate Egor, CaptDan Korsenski(Hooked up), and ret cat Dave Calloran hold up a good mixed bag of fish from that trip.Browns ,Cohos ,Steelhead ,and Lakers!!See you soon ,Capt Dana
May 05 They are here !!!We are now into the Kings! The big guys are now moving into US waters and are waiting to be caught . Come out and wrestle a few .Ill post a couple of pies . May13 King fishing is in full swing along with a healthy supply of tasty cohos. I expect this great fishing to last another 3 weeks ,hopefully longer.We will keep on em till we have to journey back to Lake Erie for the walleyes.There is still plenty of dates left for Kings on the weekdays so give us a call !! May20 Only a couple of weeks left for the spring Kings and the fishing is spectacular!!Willi and scot from Dreamweaver Lures were up last weekend and took a nice limit back to Michigan.Was great to see those boys again!I have only a few Salmon dates left till fall so give me a call We will get you out there . MAY26 The boys from Florida were up for the holiday weekend and we had a blast!! The kings were rippin line and I think they flew home with over a hundred lbs of salmon!Thanks Guys, I had a great time.We are winding down on thw big O 1 more week and MOJO is heading for LAKE ERIE. JUNE01 Well this is our last week in Wilson . Time to go back to Lake Erie and fish for the Walleyes.Me and Capt Steve will miss the big o and the salmon but we will be back in the fall God willing.It has been a great spring and I always hate to leave,but those walleye are waiting for us. Last week was a great week however we lost our weekend do to bad weather.all is well though everyone is re booked and we wil get them out this week if weather permits.I will post some pics of last weeks adventures. JUNE09 Its been a reel fun season up in wilson .We met a lot of nice people and caught alot of nice fish!! I want to thank everyone for coming up to Lake Ontario and all of the great people of Wilson for having us.
The last trip up here was very memorable ,we had some firsts of the year.We boated 2 Atlantic Salmon, and a 26 lb Lake trout!!Billy (pic above ) caught his first Salmon and I think he might be hooked.Excuse the pun.
The MOJO is heading for Lake Erie now to catch the Walleyes and I hope to see you all there.Give me a call because its a short summer and the book is filling fast!!Again thanks everyone!!

JUNE25 Sorry its been a while ,Its a lot of work changing lakes ,getting ready and of course getting out there on the fish!! Walleye fishing started out slow this June due to cooler water temps in Lake Erie but with the warm days as of lately its coming around just fine .Im having fresh walleye for dinner tonight!Come on out the water is fine and theres plenty of toothy critters for you to catch and have for supper too!MMMMMM good!

JUNE25 Its time !! The waters of Lake Erie have warmed and the yellows are here!! We have had some very good catches this week and I expect them to stay as good or better .One great thing I have noticed is that we are catching a few under sized walleye telling me that there was another good hatch in 07 and that Lake Erie is healthy and sustaining a good walleye population. That is awesome news for all of us fishing fanatics!!
The water is great come on down , take a trip aboard the MOJO and make some memories!!Not to mention a few fish fries!! Hope to see you soon ,Capt Dana
JULY8 We are into July and the Walleye fishing is just getting better and better!!Last week produced some wonderful catches! We had some great people aboard the MOJOand a lot of fish.Hope you all had a spectacular Independance day ,I know we did!!Special thanks to the Gregson family,the boys are great kids and did very well with rod handeling ,dispite the wheather it was a very good day .

JULY18 Fishing last week was not what I expected ,This low pressure pattern has affected the bite as well as our summer.We are still catching fish but it has not progresed as well as expected . The weather man has a better forcast in store for us this week and monday we had a pretty good catch so Im hoping that the best is yet to come!!Ill keep you posted. Stay dry, Capt Dana
JULY28 Well ,if your a local I dont have to tell you how bad the summer has been here in WNY.If your not I can only tell you that it has been the coldest July on record since the 1800,s.This has definetly affected the walleye fishing as the water temps have gone down instead of up.I have had to postpone or cut short a few trips in the past two weeks but we have also had a couple of good ones when we do get out.Lake Erie is providing a good "mixed bag"including Walleye,Lake trout,brown trout,Steelhead,and perch. This makes for a pretty good day of fishing but as I said we are are used to a lot better numbers on the Walleye . I am still optomistic though .The temps have been in the 80,s and all we need is a little high pressure and things will be a lot better.
Monday we did very well ,the Myles boys had the boat and we caught a lot of fish including a lunker Walleye and a very respectable steelhead{over 10 lbs}.Of course ,they both were on the line at the same time!!we got em though.The board would have been full but the boys are good sportsmen and we released a lot of lake trout.If we all only take what we eat it makes for a much better fishery.Good job men.

AUG 5 We are now into August and the Walleye fishery still is not up to par, at least by MOJO standards. We are getting a few but not the expected numbers. Monday the surface temp ws 72 so things shuold be better any day.The Lake trout fishing is spectacular ! We have world class lakers and lots of them but eat your weaties because they are monsters!! If you are looking for a trophy 25 lbs and over for your wall come on out !You wont find a fishery like this anywhere else in the world.Ill keep you updated on the Walleye .

AUG 28 Sorry about the lack of info folks .To start out the walleyes are finally here! I was away on a trip to Alaska for a while but before I left we had a couple of great catches .have recieved many good reports from reliable sourses that it is still good and we should expect good fishing hopfully through sept. got out fri for a little while, then the lake kicked up hard.we got um till then. Dave Todoro and crew had a great catch on the MOJO ,Ill post a few pics .If you plan on going out, now is the time give us a call!! Again sorry for the absentism but all I can say is that Alaska fishing is unbelievable!!!!!!

Sept 05 the fishing is still pretty good .Last week we had some good catches .Mike McAnn and crew did over a dozen walleyes and some steelhead. Water temps are still up but below normal .I expect a couple more wks of decent fishing. Book now cause its almost over .Deer season is just around the corner!
